Today I

Went to the Farmers Market

Sometimes Northern California is exactly what you expect it to be. Skateboarding 40-year-olds and bike-riding hipsters abound in Sacramento. So do farmers markets.

I’ve been to several markets since we’ve lived here. They pop up around parks and in parking lots all spring and summer long. This one, however, is huge. And under a highway. Yep, you can get all the organic fruits, fresh veggies, and corn-fed beef you want. If you don’t mind the exhaust fumes.

Honestly though, it wasn’t that bad. And we ended up seeing lots of fun things you won’t find in regular grocery stores. Now, I have to go find a recipe for those tiny carrots
